YIP! YIP! YSILANTI! involved Hank Braddigan's first venture into America's heartland. Having sucked on Long Island's fetid tit all his life for spiritual/intellectual nourishment, Hank craved greater enlightenment. Taking a cue from his hero Michael Moore, Hank thought Michigan as good a place to start as any to expand his horizons.
It is unclear why Hank chose to document Ypsilanti, MI, the home of the world's 67th largest Elvis Impersonator's Contest, along with a unique yet unremarkable water tower. Perhaps it was the nobility of the everyman that attracted him.
